Sunday, December 6, 2009 - The Alert Fire Co. No. 1 hosted a Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician class on Nov. 7, 8, 21, 22 and Dec. 5, 6, 2009 that was enjoyed by students from eleven different fire companies from three counties.
On completion of this comprehensive class the students are now certified by the PA Fire Academy and the PA Dept. of Health in BVR - Awareness, Operations and Technician. We would like to thank all of the students who completed the 48 hour class and Eric Rickenbach and his instructors from EJR Rescue Techs and the Bucks County Community College. In addition we would like to thank Sanner's Towing for allowing us to use the yard for our practical evolutions and providing several cars and Miller's Automotive for towing some of them, as well.
The fire companies who attended were as follows:
Alert No. 1, Minquas No. 2, East Brandywine, Kennett, Modena, Pomeroy, West Bradford (Who also provided the use of Rescue 39.), West Whiteland, Concordville (Del. County), Edgmont (Del. County), Grill (Berks County).
