The 57th. Annual Alert Chicken Bar B Que and Bake Sale was another huge success, thanks to our Good Neighbor Community and our volunteers! By 4:15 PM we had a line out of the engine room and down the street! At 6:10 PM, we SOLD OUT at a total of 654 complete dinners.
We appreciate all of the positive feedback and support that we received from our customers during and after the event. We would like thank each and every person who purchased dinners, bake sale treats, raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets. Thanks to those who gave us extra donations and to all of our sponsors.
Members of our Chicken BBQ Committee started working on this event in February with planning, advertising and purchasing supplies. President Chris Keen commented and thanked the committee members, all of our volunteer members, the volunteers of the Minquas Fire Co. No. 2, Boy Scout Troop 2 for setting up our tables and the spouses, kids and grandchildren of our members for volunteering from 6:30 AM till clean up was completed at 10:00 PM!
We are overwhelmed with the continued support of our largest fundraising event and THANK YOU all for making this a huge success!
