Due to COVID-19, the Downingtown Fire Department was unable to have the annual banquet in March. While the situation has improved drastically in our county, as first responders, we must remain vigilant in our safety protocols. We also need to take time to honor the accomplishments of our members and spend time relaxing together as a group.
At our last monthly meeting, the membership approved to having an awards dinner on October 24th., starting at 6:00 PM in the engine bay. While this will not be the normal formal banquet atmosphere, with dancing and a DJ, we will have an informal dinner that will be catered by St. Anthony’s Restaurant with beer and wine available. This event is open to all of our members plus one guest.
Please sign up on the bulletin board at the firehouse and indicate the number coming, so we can determine the amount of food that is needed. I hope to see you all there.
