At 10:18 AM, the Downingtown Fire Dept. and the Chester County Haz-Mat, Station 15, were dispatched for a hazardous materials incident in the 400 block of Boot Rd., Downingtown Borough.
Rescue 45 arrived on scene and established command and set-up perimeter for the hot, warm and cold zones of operation. Shortly, thereafter, as caution, until it was determined what the actual product that leaked, a Shelter In Place for a one mile radius was issued. The Shelter In Place was lifted after one hour, when it was determined that there was not a health threat to the public.
