The Alert Fire Co. No. 1 and Minquas Fire Co. No. 2 volunteers, plus our mutual aid partners Thorndale Fire Co. and Coatesville Bureau of Fire operated at this kitchen fire, at the Brandywine Court Apartments, in the 300 block of William St., in the Borough.
Engine 45 was the first to arrive with smoke showing from a side window. The crew deployed an 1.75″ handline and made a quick knock down of the fire, to contain it to its point of origin. The crew from Engine 38 laid a 5″ supply line from a nearby hydrant and Ladder 41 laddered the roof. All of the crews assisted with ventilation and salvage.
