As Santa Claus departed our area for the North Pole, he thanked the volunteers and their families of the Alert Fire Co. No. 1 and Minquas Fire Co. No. 2 for spending seven hours today, escorting him around Downingtown Borough and East Caln Twp. today.
We would like to thank the entire Good Neighbor Community for coming out to wish our volunteers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
When we were almost finished in the Oak Ridge section of East Caln, Engines 45 and 46-2 were dispatched for a well-involved car fire at the Bowling Palace on E. Lancaster Ave. Engine 46-2 arrived and the crew deployed an attack line. The crew, with the assistance of Santa Claus established a water supply, from a nearby fire hydrant.
